"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4.7What good is it to surrender your life to God and forget about the devil, thinking that he will do the same?
Those who are born of the Spirit not only resist the devil, but they also advance against him to see free those that are trapped in his claws.

The Bible says; When you are near to God and his grace, the are more challenges to face. Because the devil is like your shadow he imitates whatever that you are doing but oppositely. So there is no way that when you surrender your life to God, you are free no more prayers no nothing.... there is no such thing.God had put these obstacles for us to learn from them

ReplyDeleteI totally agree Mrs Ester because our Lord taught us to watch and pray, so that we may not fall into temptations. The devil will never stop that is why the word of God says “ Therefore put on the full amour of God so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground.

ReplyDeleteGod gives us instructin that is absolutely and completely perfect and we may not understand the logic behind the instruction, the whys and wherefores, but we must grasp what he has told us, for example, "to wait". Means just that, how do we know what is out there for us, it is not a decision of our own, but preservation by God's word, there is no logic necessary to understand divine intervention in our lives. And yes, Mrs Ester, when does an evangelist ever stop evantelising, i know, when He's dead! It can't be helped, there is punishment to go round for the smelly creature that made me suffer in life, best revenge of all, encourage people in their faith, obey the word so your family can see God's blessing and how faith works, get the clueless thinking about Jesus and pray them on! Te, He!

ReplyDeleteTotally agree that those who are born of God should resist the devil in every way and it must be in us to snatch those who the devil is destroying especially our families, those closest to us.

This happens with many people in the church. They believe they are fine and the devil does not attack them because they are in the church, they are not living in sin and they have the Holy Spirit and do not have or do not see the need to come to church on Fridays.
ReplyDeleteFor anyone to have the Holy Spirit and lack the desire to free others in the hands of the devil and be contend with having their own peace, joy, and all fruits of the Holy Spirit for themselves. That alone is a spirit of selfishness and that makes it questionable if they really have the Holy Spirit.
Those who are born of God are like God,and what God desires most is to take souls from the hands of the devil and that becomes the same desire of those who are born of God.

This reminds me a lot of church today. Many people claim to have received the Holy Spirit, so they become complacent in their spiritual life. They believe they no longer need to fight against the devil as God is with them.
But what they need to realise is that the devil will wait as long as it takes for us to give him a chance.
The devil will always want our soul, even more so if you have the Holy Spirit. We must always fight against the devil and never relax, it will always be a WAR.
Once a person surrender's their life to God he will guide protect and give us the strength to fight.
If the devil never gives up the fight then why should the children of God do so.
We must resist the devil at all times and free others who the devil is trying to destroy.

ReplyDeleteThe Devil will never leave Gods children because it is us he wants more than anything our soul, but if we are truly with God with our mind and full amour and obeying his word, when he whispers in our ear even our thougths alone can drive him away. the Devils needs to be rebuked the minute he attempts to try and poison us so that he gets the message that we are not serving him. Because he will always come at us.
