"And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word." 1 Kings 18.21In general, the biggest problem Christians have is an undefined faith.
Despite professing a Christian faith, this is not possible in their everyday life because they are missing the power of the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Only those who are sealed with the Holy Spirit are definite in their position before God, the world and the devil. They do not falter between two thoughts.
Amen Mrs. Ester!
ReplyDeleteI agree Mrs. Ester.
For those people that waving between two thoughts doesn't have the Holy Spirit inside of them. Because when a person have the Holy Spirit he/she have a firm decision and definite in their position before God.
Thank you for sharing this powerful verse to us Mrs. Ester

good morning Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteGod knows, all our hearts our minds, our illness, our baptisms and He judges all things and all peoples.
"do not judge others or you to shall be judged and the measure that you use shall be used for you also".
There does not need to be a rallying call for the maurauders 'in jesus name' to come and cast a stone. if we are holy lets be holy and if we have a pure heart let us behave as if we have one.It is not rudeness Dear Ester, but condemnation distracts us from looking to God, it is an indulgence that too many of us wallow in, like piggies in the mud. No one stops to question whether they understood correctly, but everyone is confident of themselves, Jesus taught us to criticize ourselves before others,
"why take the speck from your brother's eye, first take out the plank in your own eye, then proceed to help your brother". Its a bit like, someone has inflexible legs then you judge them for not being able to hop scotch, I have never lived my adult life without a brain tumour and when it's removed and the cancer with it I am certain things will impove, it amazes me and dissappoints me also, how compassionate the people of God are until they need to be. In the words of Christ
"...leave her alone"
God bless you Dear EsterX
Hi Mrs. Ester,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the verse. Yes its true, Holy Spirit is very essential for us to have a definite faith. Holy Spirit is our assurance of our position before God.

Hi Mrs.Esther! What I have understood in this verse is we must be decided in what we want and we must not be double minded. Because if we are double minded person we cannot achieved all our goals in life. And those who really have the seal of the Holy Spirit they know what they want in their lives and they fight for what they want.
