"Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures." James 1.8
Through the Lord Jesus, the Word, each one of those who are born of the Holy Spirit is God's first fruits, His firstborn, His tithe, His property, holiness to Him, in short, they are children of God.
Do you think this a small thing?
Then, wait until you get to the glorious New Jerusalem to see what the Almighty has in store for each of His own.

ReplyDeleteI was explaining to the children in CBC what tithe was yesterday and I gave them the example of first fruit, first fruit for a farmer in a season is the best ones and the first oil from an olive is the most expensive one. So when you compare those who are Born of God to God's first fruits I can definitely agree.
What a privilege to be in the presence of God. Thanks to the lord Jesus,

ReplyDeleteWhat a privilege it is that by "His own will" being born of God that we are His First Fruits....who are we to be so blessed by Our God. From this I learn that I must always live each day, never forgetting how precious we are to Our Lord, to be always vigilante, never to allow anything to take us away from the presence of The Holy Spirit and our Salvation until the day when we are with Him in The New Jerusalem. How great will that be!!!!

Today I have not just received from reading your post, I have learnt that we are his first fruit how amazing is this. I am his property meaning I belong to him. No devour of my soul because I have his protection by his hands.

When I separate my first fruits to Go, I am showing Him the consideration I have for Him, that He is the first in my life. But to be considered first fruit, first born by God is beyond all the blessing we can have in our life here on hearth. "...I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by Your side..." Sometimes I forget how special I am before God. I think more about the problems, the battle that I forget that my reward is so great! This verse teaches me that I must not take my eyes away from my prize & I also have rights here on earth. I should not accept hell to affect my life as I have authority over all of them, this is too strong. If I believe in this word, which I do, so nothing should stop me conquering. Many times I look down on myself thinking I can't do this or that but if the Spirit of God is in me, then I can do anything. Kisses mrs Ester.
ReplyDeleteMeaning we are God's children, we take priority because we give our first fruits so he has to do his part and prioritise us in anything we want and this is a privilege.

You can't even begin to imagine how special yo are in God's eyes when you become His child. Even I can't. Sometimes I will try to picture Heaven, and even the beauty that I do imagine is nowhere near to how beautiful it actually is. This place is reserved for His children.

The joy it is to be the first fruits of God. Its like we are special, separated from everyone else in this world and as He guides us to keep going till the very end till we meet him and see the place he has prepared for us. Cant wait, but the fight keeps going till the very end.

ReplyDeleteIt is such a blessing to know that I am God’s first fruit, His property. This explains why He says in His word, “Return to me and I will return to you”. It is so encouraging to know that God is always merciful and willing to forgive me for all my imperfections if I return to Him for I am His first fruit, His Property and He has good plans for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future.
