The true servants of the Holy Spirit of God transmit Spirit to those who are thirsty for the Spirit.
The other "servants" are concerned with imparting empty knowledge of life that imposes deadly burdens. One must be born of the Spirit to have this discernment.
This is why in the universal church even if language is a barrier, we breakdown this barrier and are still able to pass on Spirit.
ReplyDeleteThis is one way i can discern from those who have the Holy Spirit and those who dont, buy the Spirit that is passed. Someone who has the Spirit of God doesnt hide in the crowd but stands out and adds.

Who is speaking, when we are born of the spirit, the goal posts never move, the strength of God surges us forward even against ourselves.
"those who humble themselves, they shall be exhalted, but the proud they shall be put down"
and so it goes.
When you are born of the spirit, you don't take what you like and then leave the rest for your flesh to invade, NO?
I am not proud, you know that, I am entertainment so i cannot afford to be, if i am proud, who will follow after me thinking it is right? then wont i be responsible, Yes! So now I know what I know, i have to think about that, put yourself in my position for 2 seconds Ester, not that you need to and i am sure you have more interesting things to do!
none the less, i have to fight all the things on the agenda, but my goodness darling, havn't I done enough fighting in that sense!, I AM NACKERED! tired so I am, but what I can say is this,
I am hopeful, and i know it will be alright in the end, because when the Lord has his rightful place, which is infront of our faces what is not of God has to fall away, and what is truly of God will stand, this is my faith.
So now I need all the strength I have to get through surgery, after surgery, and all the agonising pain of surgical dressings, chemicals attacking the system, and all that rubbish, and infront of my face is God, I don't care if i flop about here and there, i will get there where i need to be, God will help me because He is my rock n roll, I love Him Ester, everything will be fine!
So, what is next, Ah, I know, more fighting, lovely! lol!

We must be born of the spirit to know the difference between that which is spiritual and that which is of the flesh. If we are empty we cannot pass spirit because you cannot give what you don't have.

DeletePeople who are not born of the Spirit yet may even do the same works as those who are but they do not flourish as those who are Born of the Spirit. They speak and do things that they themselves do not understand, they are just copycats.
ReplyDeleteI have a simple example...
Whenever my mum would boil potatoes, she would start the boiling process by adding cold water to a pan with the washed potatoes and salt. She would then cook it. I grew up doing the same until one day I saw one of my colleagues adding hot water instead of cold. Then I told her, "you should not add hot water to the potatoes..." but I did not know why. She told me it would be faster and I believed her and started doing the same thing but sometimes my potatoes would not cook all the way through. Ignorantly, I thought it was the quality of the potatoes... :D
One day as I watched a cooking program the host said: "You should not use hot water to cook potatoes because they will not cook evenly." That moment the coin dropped and I understood why my potatoes were not properly cooked. It had nothing to do with the quality of the potatoes but rather the way I was cooking them.
The person who is not BORN OF GOD speaks and does things that they do not understand, some are even great speakers and workers, but when someone comes up with another philosophy or idea contrary to the Word of God, they will be easily influenced, because they didn't really understand why and what they were doing. However, when the person is Born of God nothing and no one can stop her from obeying the Word of God because she knows and understands what's she is doing, she is UNSWAYABLE.

When being counselled i've had those who've passed Spirit to me and made a difference in my life and those who made me feel worse and passed no life at all. Now I look at myself to see what I'm passing to others.

Dear Mrs Ester,
Your message is very true, empty knowledge of life can not change lives but the Spirit gives life to those who are hungry and thirsty to know the truth. If we do not have the Spirit of God in us we are easily led by our flesh to mislead those who are lost .

Mrs. Ester, I will never forget this message because my pastor had spoken to us about this 2 years ago and he said to us does who are of God they always invest in themselves and always want to grow more in other to be used by God, they are not after knowledge and neither do they depend on it, they are lead by the Spirit, so when they speak to those who are in need they pass life they say little but what they say brings the dead back to life, and on the other hand just as you said we have those who depend on their knowledge and experience and they don't allow the Spirit of God to lead them, they spend less time with God, they are not tune, so when God sends someone in need what they give to this person has no life in fact the person ends up leaving worst than they came. And I used to be like the second one I spend less time with God and at that point I knew I had to change. This for me is a self examination for anyone to make a sincere check up and see if they Spirit or not.

I can honestly say that I have come across people who through their words gave life to me. They inspired me and helped me to see things in a different way. I have also had people who thought they were helping but what they said just put me down and passed no spirit at all. In these cases I have learned and I am still stilling to discern what is spirit and what is flesh. I too have to see what I am passing to others, spirit or flesh.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true,the UCKG is the first ever Christian church i stepped into,thinking back 15 years ago i must admit that i did not really understand the preaching not to mention the broken English which made things harder. But for some apparent reason i was going back on a daily basis, i then understood that the spirit that was being passed was definitley the spirit of God. I felt hope and an unexplainable happiness when i attended, and that was hard to find anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteTrue servants seek to receive the holy spirit at all costs because they know the value of being born of God. Many are conformed to being religious but the strong seek to be sealed by him.
