Who follows Me?

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, 'I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.'" John 8.12

Walking in the Light is living with a clear conscience, detoxified of any impurity of this evil world. It is to live at peace with oneself and especially with the Holy Spirit.
Living in darkness is to be subject to the immorality imposed by the corrupting society.

  1. This reminds me we cannot be lukewarm it is either we are hot or cold, we choose whether to live in darkness or lightness. The decision lays in our hands but the best choice is to live in lightness. The 21 days is giving us the opportunity to purify ourselves from this darkness of this world.

  2. Dear Mrs Ester.
    Thank you for this message.
Only when we live in total surrender to the will of God we can walk in His light. Before I met my God in the UCKG, my life was consumed by the darkness of this world. I was living in misery, sickness, pain and I had no piece. The moment I trust God in my life and begin to practice His words, His light started to shine from inside out and today my life is completely transformed. His light has become the window of my life.
    thank you God!!!

    May God bless you always.

  4. It’s really quite simple to understand. Those who follow Jesus are the ones who aren’t living in darkness as they aren’t living in sin, but are the light because they have His light.

  5. Thanks for this Mrs Ester, I was reading something today from first Timothy Chapter 1: 5 which said this "Now the pupose of the commadment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience and from sincere faith". Thanks for this as it has really added to my day.

  6. When I first met God, I felt like an alien in this world. I lost my so called 'friends' and people thought I was crazy for not doing the 'normal' things of this world. Years on, I am still the happiest person for making the choice of letting go of this world and clinging onto my God, there is no greater joy than a clear conscience :)

  8. Having a clear conscience is something i think the whole world wants. Its not great everyday to feel bad for doing something or for your conscience to accuse you, it takes away all your peace and instead torments you. However, once you receive the Holy Spirit, you learn how to do the right thing and that constant torment is transformed into peace. That was very simple and straight to the point, thank you Mrs Ester

  9. Hello Mrs. Ester, as I was reading the verse and was mediating on it, I remember how my life was when I was in the world of darkness. It was nothing but torments. I was so blind to the things of God. Today I am happy that I take the decision to follow Jesus, so that I can be light in this world. As a servant is my obligation to help to lead people from out of the darkness to light.

  10. Hi Mrs.Esther : ) Thank you for sharing this blog post. It's up to us if we want to live in a light life or in a darkness life. Light life is full of sacrifice for us to have a good conscience that will not accuse us on anything. Darkness life is full of sins and accusing mistakes. Hugs&Kisses!!!

  12. The 21 days are so important, and the way that this will be beneficial, is for us to constantly think of where god took us from, for us to never ever forget. And sometimes you wont even wait until the 21 days start for you to be well with god, but you will start to make your own 21 days because you are in communion with God.

  13. When we are in light we no longer wish to be with those who are in darkness and likewise those in darkness will not wish to mix with those who are in the light. This is a way that we can see who we really are, Jesus calls us to be with Him in Light and not follow the trend of this world and its darkness. Thanks Mrs Esther.

  14. I agree, I was in darkness before knowing God. I did not know where I was going. I was doing things without thinking. But now, I have God with me. I know where I am going. It is so "funny", how God took me. For me, I was in hell, before inside out. But now, I am happy, in the sense that I am not slave of nobody, but slave of the God. Slave and free at the same, if it is making sense because I know that god is guided me rebuked me, because he wants to help me to be the light in the cities.

Before I was so influenced by others, tried to be someone else. I was nobody, but God made me somebody that believe in Him and in the strength that God borrow for the time on earth.
