"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Ephesians 6.11
Putting on The armor of God involves the following ATTITUDES:
1 - Gird yourself with Truth, meaning let go of lies;
2 - Dress up in Righteousness, meaning leave sin;
3 - Put on the boots of Peace, meaning get rid of anger;
4 - Embrace the shield of Faith, meaning resist doubts;
5 - Put on the helmet of Salvation, meaning flee from sin;
6 - Occupy your mind with the sword of the Spirit: God's Word, meaning flee from futile reading and vain things;
7 - Stay in prayer and supplication in the Spirit rather than worrying about vanities;
8 - Also, always watch and do not let your faith be distracted.
Thanks Mrs Ester, this is a useful list of how we can actually acheive the former, thanks. xx
ReplyDeleteHello Mrs Ester, Reading this has made me realised that sometimes I can get easily distracted or forget to use the word of God when facing problems, it is very true that we need the word of faith to encourage us because if we don't emotions can get the better out of us. If we rely on our own strength we will never endure. That it is why we need to use our sword everyday to fight against the adversaries. Now I see the importance of watching and praying.
ReplyDeleteAmen Mrs Ester this is it right here if I want to be firm an strong in my faith I have to do the above put on the whole armour of God .
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteWe can never go wrong if we cover ourselves with the full armour of God.
