Prudent

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock." Matthew 7.24-25

Building a house on the rock requires more time, money and overall effort. However, once ready, nor even tsunamis are not able to bring it down.
The same applies to one who builds his life on Jesus. That is, listening and practicing His Word.

  1. when we invest in building our life on the word of God though it takes more time patience and perseverance it is resistant against dangers that come against marriages built on doubts, people with insecure jobs that might face redundancy and etc.

  2. What I understand from this verse is that there are 2 different types of people in the world there are those who can withstand problems that comes their way and there are those whom wherever the wind blows they go with it, the one whom can stand it is always unshakable, and the one whom cant he collapses at the first sight of problems.

  3. Listening and adhering to God's word is like building a house on the rock meaning it is harder to build on this foundation but once the house is complete it will be worthwhile because it can withstand any storm, wind or any other disaster so therefore those who adhere to God's word and builds a strong faith and relationship with God, it will not crumble when doubts, temptation or problems come.

  4. Dear Mrs Ester,

Just as building our house on the rock takes a lot of time, money etc, building our life on Jesus takes a lot of focus and determination, no matter what we go through along the way, if we listen and practice His Word until the very end, we will for surely receive our reward.

  5. Amen. I totally agree with you Mrs. Maria. This kind of house takes time indeed and sacrifices, imagine carrying the bricks from stage to another is a lot of effort then lifting the pillars and so forth but once that is completed we can enjoy with no worries, and is exactly what we should do with our Lord Jesus build our foundation on Him, and indeed our reward comes from above.
    Thank you Mrs. Ester
