"...in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1.8The Divine revenge is not just against those who do not know the Lord God, but also against those who are disobedient to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus. That is, those who have occupied a church pew every week, listen and learn the teachings of Jesus and yet, still do not practice them. What good is it to have faith in Jesus but not obey His Word? Would such faith be able to save him?

ReplyDeleteDisobedience to the word of God separates the person from the glory of the Lord no matter how much the person can use their faith. I can say without obeying our Lord Jesus Faith becomes meaningless and unfruitful.

ReplyDeleteGod is a just God, all He wants from us is obedience and love. God hates disobedience, so it does not matter who you are if you disobeys God that separates you from His pressence. Faith without deeds will not save anyone.

ReplyDeleteSacrifice is not an easy thing, but when we sacrifice and apply our faith, we attract the blessings of God in our lives. Yet the word of God says öbedience is better than sacrifise. This means we are more blessed when we obey the word of God much more than to sacrifice without obedience. Now this is intelligent faith.

God requires of each of us obedience to his word, and he said those who want to serve me take up his cross and follow me. It means Sacrifice of our life, to receive the salvation of our soul day by day.

People normally say knowledge is power but many people have the knowledge but still live in blindness. It is like having the bible but having no right to demand what is written because those who obey the word of God have the power and faith in them to witness the power of his word's in their lives. knowing is meaningless when it's not practised. Obedience is the way.
