What a spirit!

"So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its owners." Proverbs 1.19

The greedy of many have led them to an abyss. We see this even inside the churches. The wise has considered their salvation more important.

  1. For me this takes me back to something that was preached in service about why some people are no longer seen in the church. It was highlighted that some people only come to receive their blessings, to fight for their financial life, love life, family or against infirmity etc but once they have received what they wanted they leave. The main message behind this was to fight for things that are going to be permanent like our salvation that leads to life and not just to fight for perishable things.

  2. Hey mrs, Ester this is true many people just come to receive their blessing and they forget about their salvation. This is not the time that many of us should fully concentrate on our blessings but above all our salvation. After all that is going on in the world leading to the last days we need to start thinking about what would happen with our souls if Jesus comes back now.

  3. I see that these days people really just come to the church for blessings, for things that will benefit their soul but what they don't realize and even forget is that God is Spirit and with our spirit is how we will be able to have an encounter with Him and remain in His presence forever through blessings, problems etc.

  4. Thats why we sometimes do not get the materials things we ask from God. God knows that if he gives us the blessings we will leave. our priority should be the blesser...we become so into the things of this world that we forget where God took us from,we loose the first love because we let our lamps runs dry of the oil. nomsa

  5. I understood that when we put the greed for the things of the world we take our eyes of the things of God, especially our salvation! But what God revealed to me is that those things that we are attracted to from the world will eventually take over our life's and then we will end up leaving the faith due to it. In this situation there is 2 types of people in the church, with all things sin common but 1. They both come into the church, fight for their blessing but the difference between them is 1 leaves after receiving the blessing and the other see's the importance of conquering their salvation and stay till they receive it. That's how we should continuously be before God, always putting Him first, before anything of this world.

  6. Hi Mrs. Ester,

Many people worry about their salvation when the time is getting closer. We shouldn't leave our salvation until the last moment that should be the main one. Because, everything is going to pass like lighting and we don't even know if we are going to have time.

    God Bless you,

  7. It's easy to get carried away with things of this world if not careful, especially if you are in desperate need of it. Sometimes people don't take heed of the word 'seek first the kingdom of God and everything will be added onto you' if i seek god first receive him den he will give me everything i need but people think, no i can do this my self just priority there time of other things not realising the key to everything is right there in front of them.
