Broken Spirit

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise." Psalms 51:17
God can only fill one with His Spirit when one empties oneself. He doesn't require perfection or holiness, but surely humbleness to recognise one's dependence on His guidance.

  1. One thing God showed me when I was reading this blog was the simple fact that before we receive the Holy Spirit it’s as if we try so hard to make ourselves perfect before God, rather than coming as we naturally are and humbling ourselves to God for Him to change us and make us a new creature. We sometimes forget the fact that we are the clay and He is the Potter, ready to mould us in a brand new vase. This was my biggest problem! I never understood how much God loves sincerity, and how long He had been waiting for me to be sincere with Him in order for Him to pour His Holy Spirit upon me and make all over again. I realised with or without the Holy Spirit there is always room for God to change us, but only when sincerity is in the equation!

  2. Has been very important to every word that you have in the past, and much more important to listen than to speak and be humble to accept.

  3. That's True God doesn't want us to be prefect but at least he wants us to be humble and be sincere to him so that he could come upon our life
