This is when the Lord uplifted him by saying: Moses is dead. Until when will you keep mourning? Arise, NOW, and take hold of the promised land.
To live by faith is to leave the burdens of the past behind and move forward.
Forget the past, look ahead and firmly continue in the direction of achieving your goal.

Leaving the past behind can be very difficult. Especially things or people that may have really hurt us. However by holding on to these things simply stop us from moving forward because we will always consider what happened in the past. To overcome this we must realise that only by putting our past behind us will enable us to move forward and work towards our future without having a anything accusing us, puuting us down or making us feel bad.

ReplyDeleteI can look back and see that everything that I put behind me I have gained more in the future. Forgiving the closet people around have deepen my relationship with them. I learned that I have give my whole life, every area of life has to be in God's hands in order to be blessed in those areas.

ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Ester, this is very inspiring. something happened to me over the weekend that left me feeling so disappointed, frustrated and lost that i felt i could never move on. Instead of looking at things with good eyes seeing this as a opportunity for Gods name to be glorified in my life i saw it as a failure and therefore started glorying the devil by letting doubts overcome...I now know better and have realized that the past is the past no matter what i do i cn't change the past , but i can make sure this never happens again. We most always remember that the Spirit of the Lord renews us every day.

It's true, dwelling in the past makes you become a slave to it. The longer Joshua mourned the less closer to the promised land they'd be.

Amen to that. Faith is believing in what you cannot see. where is the faith if you keep looking at the past? There is no faith in that because it has already happened. Like Moses, the pasty is dead, Where ther is life there is movement and change. you cannot move your past or even change it, but you can your future. Thank you Mrs Esther.

The reason why God could use joshua was because he was still holding on to the past,but when he placed the past behind and accepted moses death that is where God used him more.so for us to succeed we must look ahead and live the burdens of the past.

ReplyDeletethe is a saying that goes like this ACT NOW most of the time we tern to delay things that we are sapose to do and that is where we are lacking to break through in life to take posetion of the promises of god becaouse the kingdom of god is entered by those who are voilent against their situation
If we constantly look behind us and at our past it will never allow us to move forward so in a way it is a waste of time. What has happened in the past may have played a part in the way that we are now but what we do now will have a greater effect so we must go on in faith.
