Numbers 24.5-6When the Holy Spirit makes His dwelling in the human heart, there is no way for sorrows, disappointments, annoyances and other evils remain. Instead, the person is like sandalwood tree (tree whose wood is fragrant) that the Lord has planted, like cedars beside the waters. That is, they become the perfume of the Lord Jesus Christ.

ReplyDeleteThis is wonderfull, for this is what I want to be seal with the Holy Spirit and not have any more sorrow, disappointments, & other evil remains. To be fragrant like a sandalwood tree planted by the water this will be amazing to me.

So when the Holy Spirit enters a person's heart there should be a removal of stench (all evil) so that the Holy Spirit can enter and make our temple fragrant.
ReplyDeleteSomething that just came to my mind is that the Holy spirit is aware when the temple is truly clean and in order for His spirit to enter He will not be fooled by the covering up of mess. He sees through this.
That is such a beautiful image. To know that the Holy Spirit creates you to become such a beautiful creature with a lovely influence, why would we not want to receive Him?

Once you are sealed with the holy spirit obstacles can arise but you still have joy in the lord. The holy spirit gives you strength to overcome problems and be a blessing in people's lives.
