"This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles." Psalms 34.6
The poor man from this passage was the Psalmist himself. He cried and was heard, not because he deserved, but because of the faith in the compassion of the Almighty, expressed through his outcry.
That's how it works: God does not take into account the degree of the sin one commits, nor its amount, much less professed religion, but a sincere expression of faith in His Word.
All that God is looking for is sincerity. Sometimes you may think it's so hard to believe that He'd listen to you after the sin you just committed but as long as you pour everything out to Him, He will hear you.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true because there has been many times I even allowed the devil to put this thought in my mind that I do not deserve to ask God for anything after what I had done but like it says here He does not look at m my mistakes but my sincerity (Faith)thats all it takes to be bless.
ReplyDeleteWhen we need something from God all it takes is a sincere cry out and he will hear us. We need to pray with our mouths opened and not shut.
ReplyDeleteThis is so powerful. Many people feel unworthy even to cry out to God for their problems because the devil try to convince them or remind them of what they have done in the past and this makes a person weak in faith and even weak to pray to God. But the truth, as Mrs Ester puts it is that our God is a God of mercy and does not count how many mistakes we made in the past, but He hears us when we have a sincere faith in His Words. (BELIEVE AND PRACTICE)
ReplyDeleteSincerity is what God is looking for, the moment we change from our wicked way and completely surrender all to God he said come the way you are, he will received us. When we are sincere he will definitely ear our cry.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteThank you, it is true what you are saying about faith, it does not consider how much you know the bible or how long you have been a christian. Faith reacts to our action of faith and belief at what we are acting upon at that particular time. This is what happens sometimes when we catch the word of faith prompting us to act even those new to the faith, they see great results.
I was reading today that if there is a sincere repentance (not remorse), God sees the heart & in return will forgive. Sometimes I forget that my past is my past & that my God is merciful to forgive & forget. It is human beings that most of the time don't forget. I choose to forget my past; not because I want to hide from it & cover it but because my God has forgiven me & cleansed me from it so there is no need to look behind anymore but to go ahead. I love Jesus so much for His grace.
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteI'm reading this as I've just come into work. This verse is beautiful. Its not by your many vain and repetitive words that God answers our prayers. But the sincere ones. May be long, short or even a few words. But it because of how he expressed his need through his prayer and believing that God heard. Im sure that after he prayed he no longer worried, was anxious or felt confused. But was sure the Holy Spirit heard and that he'd receive the help from our God.
Thanks for sharing.
Amen. Mrs. Ester. This is very true. This post makes me understand that God looks at the sincerity of our heart, true repentance of our mistakes. Someone may say big words from the bible in other words being religious but if they are not sincere God will not accept his prayers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me the importance of being sincere.

I think this is what makes the difference between a christian and a christian. The power of sincerity coming to God and being Real! I had to learn this the hard way but Thank God for His mercy!
ReplyDeleteGod sees the heart if we are sincere or not.God answers all prayers and forgive all our transgressions if we seek Him diligently and with sincerity.Sometimes the answers were delayed but when we have the assurance that God listens, we just have to wait patiently for we know that He heard our cry and pour out his blessings on us.Thank you,Mrs.Esther for this inspiring message.
ReplyDeleteWhen we truly open our hearts and call out to God he hears us and honours our cry out. When we believe that God can will hear our prayer no matter the obstacles he will honour us.
ReplyDeleteThank Mrs Ester for this message.
Dear Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteWhenever I get to my point of enough and really "cry out" to God, he always hears my cry and He always answers me and delivers me out of that problem. This is because I am no longer praying sweet words but am really laying it down just as it is. God responds to this kind of sincerity, not the sweet idle talk that we often pray!
Thank Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteWhen I do cry out to god, he does hear and answer my cry, not because i deserve but because of the sincerity of my prayer to ask for him
Dear Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteGod will always honour and answer our cry out when it is sincere. God wants honesty from us so we must come to him with a sincere heart. We must always speak the truth to God even if it is not pleasant to us.
We have to believe that our outcry has been accepted by our own faith. God wants us to be real with him not to be false.
God Bless you Mrs Ester for sharing this message.
I love this her we can see the compassion of God because no matter what we believe or what we have done from a simple action of faith God feels compelled to answer us.
ReplyDeleteMrs Esther
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading your Blog and this is what God showed me is that we only do a Cry out when we as individuals have had enough of something, just like a baby when they have had enough of having a nappy with poo they will CRY OUT.
