"...that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." Galatians 3.14
Abraham was the firstfruits of God to bless his descendants. He typified Jesus, the Firstborn of God, to bless the Jews who believe.
Jesus came to extend the Abrahamic blessing to the Gentiles who believe in Him. This blessing is not limited to material possessions, but above all, to receive His Spirit.
Thank you Mrs Ester,
ReplyDeleteI am also thinking that we that are already in Christ are like Abraham to our family whom I would say they are gentiles and once we are filled with the Spirit of God we can bring unlimited blessings in our homes.
Thanks for sharing, Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteTo received the promise of God is through faith also
faith without work is dead. Faith is things we hope for
that we can not see. This just make me to ask myself some question.
Jesus is not selfish. He came to give everyone the opportunity to receive Him, even those who did not technically deserve Him because of their background. But thank God, He is merciful and loving to extend such an opportunity to us so that we may be saved.
ReplyDeleteGod loved us so much that he gave us the promise of the spirit through Jesus Christ. We must exercise our faith and obey Gods words to receive the spirit. We must empty our hearts and be sure that our seeking for the holy spirit is not for selfish ambition but to bring more souls to Gods kingdom.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mrs Ester for thus message.
Hi Mrs Ester
ReplyDeleteJust to know that God love me so much so as much that I can have his spirit living inside me is so wonderful.

Indeed, through Jesus we are priviledged to be part of the God's promise to Abraham when we believe. He removes the vail taht separated us from being heirs of Abraham. Thank you Jesus
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs Esther
ReplyDeleteWhen I read the verse I also picked up that His Spirit is a PROMISE and is given by Faith, meaning that we can receive this GREAT GIFT/ BLESSING by FAITH only. Thank you Jesus for the revival and reminder of this blessed message.
May God continue to Bless you Mrs Esther

When God makes a promise, he never goes back on us, however it is onto us to remind him of his promise and too see that the way we live our lives is the criteria he requested to receive the promise so it must come down.
