The Spirit and faith

"And Pharaoh said to his servants, 'Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?'” Genesis 41.38

Only those who are possessed by the Spirit of God make a difference. As a matter of fact, even the the children of darkness recognise them. However, in order to have Him, we must pay the price of sacrifice.

I believe that the spirit of God inside of us does make us stand out. Whilst I was in Israel I learnt something valuable there is nothing that we can truly achieve without sacrifice.
We were blessed with an airconditioned coach but in the past they were exposed to the heat of the sun, yet they didn't complain they would gladly climb a mountain for a day and seek God at the top, now we take a taxi to the top of a mountain.

Everywhere I visited there were sacrifices that had to be made to make that location so important biblically, whether it be a life changing decision at the garden of Getsemene, or an action of restraint at the spring of Gideon there were all actions of sacrifice.

  2. This is something that I always says to God when I seek Him. Even at my new work place full of unbelievers I want to be the best, be an example and represent Him.
You can only be compelled to do this when you have His Spirit because without Him you have the characteristics of the world, so you don't care about being the best in a good way.

  3. even though you may have the Spirit of God sometimes you stop sacrificing, and what threat are you to the devil when you have stopped sacrificing. Even with the Holy Spirit we have to keep sacrificing and keep the flame burning inside of us.

  4. Straight to the point. When i never had the Holy spirit i couldnt shine the way i wanted to. I couldnt help people the way i dreamed of and that was because of the lack of the HolySpirit. The Light He give you is shown even by the little you do.

  5. This is powerful and also people who are around you especially of darkness they feel intimidated by you when you have the Spirit of God.

  6. This is the same thing that happened with Peter and John in the book of Acts, through their determination to stand firm in doing God's will in spite of the harsh persecution and tribulations, the pharisees could not deny God working in and through them.

  7. And even through the price of sacrifice, it makes us into a better servant. When we receive the Holy Spirit, the children of the world will constantly look to try and figure out what is different about us and even we may explain but its through their own experience with the Saviour are they able to see things the way we do.

  8. Dear Mrs Ester,

The amount of times we hear about sacrifice in the church, you would think wewould be experts at it, that it wouldn't be something new but I have to admit sacrifice is hard, from the physical to the spiritual kind, it is hard, but necessary.

  9. Thank you for sharing this with us Mrs Esther as it is so true!! Those that are of God naturally show themselves to the world - they don't even need to say it. Others can just tell there is something different about them.
