Firstfruits show faithfulness and offerings reveal love.
While there was no sin in the world, tithes and offerings were not necessary, since the communion between the creature and the Creator was perfect. With sin came the moral and spiritual corruption. Therefore, God established the tithe and offerings to prove the heart of those who approached Him.
Many people say they love God with their mouth, but is it easy or hard for them to give up something they need; in this case money. It's not even as if they're giving it up; they're just meant to be putting God before material things. But many think they will lose out. They're showing they don't trust.

This makes a lot of sense because it's easy to say things to God but it's our actions that really show if we mean on what we have said or was it just empty words.

ReplyDeleteThis has just confirmed something God has been Showing me about TRUST, do we really Trust Him?? It is not in our words but in our actions, if we TRust Him we will do what He asks.
If we cannot give 10% how can we truly give 100% of our live(heart and soul)? This is one of the strongest promises in God gave to me. Because abundant live, windows open, test Me now on this is much more than financially speaking. Is FOR ALL the areas of my life. God bless you.
