"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever." Psalm 125.1Trust is a permanent state of faith. Being like Mount Zion means remaining unshakable under any circumstance. Even if all the Earth trembles and the other mountains shake, Mount Zion remains calm and peaceful because it is the Throne of the Almighty.
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10.10Followers of the Lord Jesus chose to follow Him. This means that they will no longer be subject to the kingdom of darkness. Though they have trials and battles, they keep their faith because they are guaranteed to have their life restored with inner peace and joy, and the salvation of their soul.
"... nor give place to the devil." Ephesians 4.27This advice from God may sound strange. However, during the time of Paul, some disciples were already giving place to the devil by allowing sorrow and grief into their hearts.
"Be angry, and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil." Ephesians 6.26-27The world we live in does not allow us to be perfect. There are moments where we get angry. However, we cannot allow this anger to turn into grief. Before the sun goes down that anger must give way to repentance and forgiveness.
"Thus says the Lord God:’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house'." Ezekiel 3.27The Holy Bible can be summed up in two words: listen and obey. Those who have spiritual ears listen and obey. Not only do they listen, but they also obey.
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." Romans 5.1Faith gives us peace with God. We obey the Word of God by faith. The kind of faith that does not give you peace with God is rebellious faith.
